Creativity loves boundaries...
The truth is, you don’t need more freedom. You need a frame.
Happy Sunday!
Five minutes each week to reset, reflect, and move forward with intention.
1 INSIGHT TO CONSIDER
The more freedom we have, the more we need structure.
Creative momentum doesn’t come from unlimited choices—it comes from clarity. From deciding what matters and working within that frame. Constraints don’t kill creativity—they shape it.
2 REFLECTIONS TO SIT WITH
Limitations often spark better ideas than total freedom.
A blank canvas can be paralyzing. A framed one can be transformative.
3 PROMPTS FOR THE WEEK
Where in my work or life could I benefit from clearer boundaries?
What’s one creative constraint I could set this week (time, tools, focus)?
What’s the smallest box I could work inside—and still create something meaningful?
Until next week,
Chris

Your biggest takeaway from this edition
I do read and reply to every single one of them… when I’m not traveling!

1. I wanna set clearer boundaries with my screentime. I use my phone more than i want to when practicing my German.
2. I wanna try Jason Chatfield's idea of "One-dip Portraits" in my paintings (I got it from reading one of the posts in his "Process Junkie" Substack). I like it because it'll be a good practice for me, who's a recovering perfectionist.
3. I need more than a week to think about this.
