I'm 💯 Brandon, except for the fact that I'm apparently too skilled and/or "lucky" to have sustained the safe and financially rewarding job to be stimulated into what I need to do with my work. A shame. Also, serious first world problems.
The “golden handcuffs” might be the hardest prison to escape from.
Brandon’s firing wasn’t bad luck—it was forced freedom.
When you’re good at something that pays well but doesn’t fulfill you, the question becomes: What will it take for you to give yourself permission to start?
You don’t need to wait for the world to fire you. You can fire the world first.
