Sometimes closing doors...
Behind you is the only way to move forward. Not every bridge deserves to be kept.
Happy Sunday!
Five minutes each week to reset, reflect, and move forward with intention.
1 INSIGHT TO CONSIDER
Keeping all your options open is another way of committing to nothing.
We’re told never to burn bridges, to keep every door open, to maintain every connection. But sometimes the bridge behind you is the very thing keeping you from crossing the one ahead. The job you need to fully quit. The relationship that’s run its course. The identity you’ve outgrown. The safety net that's become a trap. Burning bridges isn't reckless — it’s decisive. It’s saying this path is behind me now, and I’m all in on what’s ahead.
2 REFLECTIONS TO SIT WITH
You can’t move forward while holding onto what’s behind you.
Commitment requires closing other options, not keeping them warm.
3 PROMPTS FOR THE WEEK
What bridge am I keeping intact that’s actually holding me back?
What would I commit to fully if I couldn’t retreat to what’s familiar?
What door do I need to close so I can walk through a new one?
Until next week,
Chris
