Happy Sunday!
Five minutes each week to reset, reflect, and move forward with intention.
1 INSIGHT TO CONSIDER
Before asking how to get what you want, get honest about whether you want it.
You say you want the promotion, but do you want the promotion – or do you want to feel valued? You say you want the bigger house, the wider audience, the fuller calendar. But wanting is layered, and the surface layer is usually borrowed – from culture, comparison, or old versions of you. Honest wanting requires excavation: peeling back what you’re supposed to want, what you used to want, what would look good to want, until you hit what’s actually yours. Most people never do this. They just run faster toward finish lines they never chose.
2 REFLECTIONS TO SIT WITH
Achieving the wrong goal feels surprisingly like failing.
The want beneath the want is the one worth pursuing.
3 PROMPTS FOR THE WEEK
What am I pursuing that, if I’m honest, I don’t actually want?
What’s underneath my biggest goal – what am I really after?
What would I want if no one ever knew whether I got it?
Until next week,
Chris
