Every moment is a choice...
Including the ones that feel like they're not.
Happy Sunday!
Five minutes each week to reset, reflect, and move forward with intention.
1 INSIGHT TO CONSIDER
“I have to” is the lie you tell yourself to avoid responsibility.
You don’t have to stay in the job. You don’t have to maintain the relationship. You don’t have to keep living this way. You’re choosing to. Maybe because leaving feels scarier than staying. Maybe because the alternative seems worse. But it’s still a choice. When you say “I have no choice,” what you really mean is “I don’t like my options.” Own that. Every moment – including this one – is a choice. And pretending it isn’t is just another way of giving away your power.
2 REFLECTIONS TO SIT WITH
Helplessness is often just unacknowledged choice.
Owning your choices, even the hard ones, is the beginning of freedom.
3 PROMPTS FOR THE WEEK
Where am I saying “I have to” when the truth is “I’m choosing to”?
What would change if I owned every choice I’m making right now?
What choice am I avoiding by pretending I don’t have one?
Until next week,
Chris
